Homemade Air Fryer Nutella Hand Pies

Hand pies are great, aren’t they? They’re portable food that makes a great snack. Another great thing about hand pies is that you can make so many different kinds.

Today I’m sharing a recipe for a sweet hand pie filled with Nutella. These Nutella hand pies are super easy to make, calling for ingredients you may already have on hand, or can easily get at your local grocery store. Cooking these hand pies in your Air Fryer means less cooking and waiting time for you, and less heat in your house as compared to baking in the oven.

These bite-sized treats are the perfect size for an individual portion. They pair well with cold beverages like milk as well as hot beverages like coffee. A platter of these Nutella hand pies will bring a smile to anyone’s face, whether it be kids doing homework or adults paying bills. Here’s how to make them.

Equipment Needed

• air fryer oven
• measuring spoon
• knife
• fork
• cutting board
• cooling rack

Ingredients 

• 1 premade pie crust
• 1 jar Nutella 
• 1 tube vanilla icing
• chocolate sprinkles 
• 1 egg

Instructions

Roll out the pie crust on a cutting board.

Cut the pie crust into 3 inch rectangles.

Place a teaspoon of Nutella in the center of half of the rectangles.

Place a rectangle on top of the Nutella rectangles.

Press the edges of the two pieces together with a fork.

Brush each rectangle with the egg wash.

Place in air fryer for 5-8 minutes on 375.

These fry really quick so keep an eye on them! 

Remove the pastries from the air fryer and place onto a cooling rack.

Cover in icing as liberally as you like.

Put sprinkles on as liberally as you like.

Serve & enjoy!
