Welcome to 2015 School Year

FutureWelcome back and welcome to the 2015 School year. I trust that you had a great break and rested well because – as you will know if you have been in school for a while – each year brings it’s challenges and excitements. So, by the time you read this, your show will truly be on the road.

Towards the end of 2014 I completed a mini-roadshow and met with a number (maybe 40 or more) of chaplains and student well-being workers and a strategy was formed. My aim, purpose, raison detre is to Support school well-being and I have decided to produce material throughout the year on various topics. Each Topic will have:

  • a resource/fact sheet with information to support the worker, the student, the parent and the school community on the specific topic. Most of this is available online but it was felt beneficial to have everything in a single place.
  • an infographic to be shared with parents – maybe through your newsletter or website.
  • 2 memes [images with words on] to support the topic and be available for use within the school – posters, newsletters, intranet etc.

The topic list has not yet be fully finalised but the latest list can be found here.

An additional thought was that it would be good to hear other people’s voices and opinions so I am wanting to encourage guests to write on this blog – find out more about that here.

Feel free to have a look around, subscribe if you wish, and at any time you can contact me if there is any way you think I can support you.
