Perserverence was constructed at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Southern California will join a rover, a lander, and multiple orbiters currently at work on or around the Mars. This newest Mars rover will be searching for signs of extraterrestrial life on the Red Planet. Perseverance is also bringing with it several cutting-edge technologies to Mars, including a helicopter called Ingenuity which will be the first aircraft to attempt powered, controlled flight on another planet.
