A Marin County tradition for over half a century, the Sausalito Art Festival returns to Marinship Park this Labor Day Weekend, September 1 to 3, for its 66th season. The family friendly festival showcases the works of the finest local, national and international artists, with thousands of original works of art by 260 artists, including paintings, sculpture, ceramics, jewelry, fiber art, fine glass, woodwork, mixed media, and photography.
Of course there are plenty of other things to see and do at the Sausalito Art Festival, including music by legendary headliners and local favorites on two stages. Headliners at this year's festival include the Dave Koz and Friends Summer Horn Tour, Eric Burdon and the Animals, the Drive-by Truckers, George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic, Jess Colin Young, Son Volt, and others. Fantastic food, beer, and wine will be available, too. Check out their complete list of entertainment here.
This year, young visitors to the Sausalito Art Festival will have a chance to get hands-on with making real art! Brian Kaplan and Mobile Maker Club will be on hand for a wide variety of fun kids' maker activities, including building with Strawbees, an augmented reality sandbox, kaleidoscope or telescope making, mechanical robotic arts, solar spin art, zipline racers, and much more.
