My life sprouted within you
I inhaled a part of your breath
You kept me entangled and knotted-
with the umbilical cord,
thus,
curbing my freedom
it was you again,
Who crushed me
beneath a heap of letters
which spelt “indebted”
and,
I was forced to pawn myself
to you for a lifetime
