Of course that stopped when I started being a home based freelancer. I just didn’t find the need to buy as many bags anymore. However, I also forgot to take care of them. So the ones that I bought back when I was working, and even the ones that I bought like a couple of years ago, they’re no longer as presentable. Their colors have already faded, most of them are already deformed, the heat did some major damage to their texture, and they’re dirty AF. Sadly, they’re hopeless.
Thankfully, I discovered this website which caters to my exact need when it comes to taking care of my present and future bags. Oh My Bag PH (http://www.ohmybag.com.ph/) carries not only products that will help protect your bag when you store them, but they also have raincoats for your bags, handle wraps, they even sell some tote and weekender bags!
Here are the items that I got from their website..
Of course I got their famous handle wraps. They have over 50 handle wraps with really gorgeous designs. I wish I have a ton of hand bags so I can buy more but oh well, there’s still time! (charot) But srsly, if you love using hand bags, you might want to give this a try. Their handle wraps price ranges from Php 299-450. Not bad if you ask me.
As you can see, you can also use these handle wraps to accessorize your shoulder bags. I don’t own a lot of hand bags so I decided to decorate one of my favorite shoulder bag. There’s also a lot of ways you can use their handle wraps. You can check out their IG for further information.
I also bought myself a Bag Filler, to help protect my bags from getting dirty, especially if they’re not yet in storage, I actually prefer to use this when I just have my bag lying around my shelf because it’s the one I’m currently using, but at the same time, I still want to protect it. It’s also a good way to protect the bags you have pon display. You won’t believe how dusty my room gets. We live in a commercial area so all the smoke, dust and practically everything that’s going on outside gets inside my room and my bag gets somehow dirty from all that. I’m glad that I was able to get a hold of this. They have 14 different sizes from 5.5 x 8 to 12 x 18 / 14 x 15 and their prices range from Php 150 – 349. Not bad at all.
Last that I got was this Bag Stuffer. You know how it feels when you store your favorite bag in your closet, then because you have limited storage, you store some more and by the time you’re ready to use that particular bag, you’re left with a bag that’s…well, my mama calls it “ngiwi” or should I say, deformed. Lol. This nifty little pillow, keeps your bag in shape while in storage. Of course you can stuff newspapers on it but sometimes, over time, those papers shred and well, shrink. You really can’t trust them. With this, you can be confident that your favorite bags will be in shape and good as new (so long as you also keep them in a dust bag or a filler).
All in all, I’m very happy with the things that I got and I’ll definitely get more of those bag fillers and the famous rain coat. Truly, they know a lot about protecting our bags. It doesn’t matter if you have signature or really expensive bags, I don’t have a lot of those, trust me. What matters is how you protect them so that they will last longer. I wish there was something like this before, way back when I was so addicted to buying bags. Still, it’s never too late.
