So it was suggested to me that I might have damaged my vocal chords and that if I'm not careful I could get nodes on them.   The only way to prevent them is to Rest them.   

News flash!!!  I talk..... A LOT.....

So I'm trying not to talk and it's been both humorous and annoying.   Just in case you didn't know, Bart's not good at charades.  I'm REALLY good at giving clues, but he's not that great and figuring out what I'm trying too say.  But we are getting by.

Today I took Jimmy to work and he knew I couldn't talk -- so he didn't either.  He was pointing and gesturing and I couldn't even tell him he didn't need to!

We will see how the rest of the day goes.  It's been a long time (maybe ever) that I've gone a whole day without talking.  It's 8:52 am and I'm going to see how far I can go.

Maybe I'll learn something today.  After all, the Bible does say we are supposed to be quick to listen, Slow to speak, and slow to become angry.

Wonder what that would look like?
