Country Style Ribs with Tiger Tail Sauce

Tiger Tail has a delicious line of mustard and fusion BBQ sauces that taste great as a sauce, or as a condiment. When they contacted me about doing a recipe post, I wanted to create something a little different and incorporate their sauce into one of my favorite recipes and give it a new twist. I used their Mustard BBQ Sauce as a star ingredient in my mother-in-law’s amazing Ribs recipe. The result is this recipe for Country Style Tiger Tail Ribs.

My mother-in-law makes mouth-watering ribs that fall off the bone and melt in your mouth. She gave me her ribs recipe about 15 years ago, and while I’ve never been able to perfectly replicate her results, they always turn out delicious even with a few tweaks. Her recipe is that good. You can use regular ribs for this, but Country Style Ribs work the best.

Country Style Tiger Tail Ribs Ingredients:

1 Pack country style ribs. *Double ingredients for more ribs. You can never have too much sauce

1 Large chopped onion

1 1/2 Tbsp butter (for cooking the onions)

1/4 Cup lemon juice

1/4 Cup Worcestershire sauce

1/4 Cup Apple cider vinegar (white vinegar also works)

1 Cup ketchup

3/4 Cup Tiger Tail Mustard BBQ Sauce

1/2 Tsp White pepper

1/2 Tsp Garlic Powder

1/4 Tsp Onion Powder

Cooking Instructions:

1- Chop the onion and saute in a big pot on mid-high heat until clear.

2- Add liquid ingredients to the pot with onions, then add spices and stir.

3- Bring to a boil and simmer for five minutes

4- Pour sauce into another pan and put pot back on stove on medium-high. Use this pot to brown the ribs before placing them in a baking dish.

5- After ribs are arranged in dish, pour sauce on top.

6- Ribs should be submerged in sauce. Cover with dish lid or foil.

7- Cook at 300 degrees F for 3 hours. You know they are close to being ready when the whole house smells like delicious ribs.

8- Plate and serve! My rib looks a little lonely alone on the plate, but I usually serve them with a side of rice, which also tastes great covered in the extra sauce.

Thanks to Tiger Tail for sending all the yummy sauces to try! The Tiger Tail Mustard BBQ Sauce gave the ribs a little extra tangy kick. I’m looking forward to trying the sauces out on BBQ chicken next. You can find Tiger Tail at Publix and on their website: https://www.discovertigertail.com/
