A Fast Game Night Favorite: Rabbit Pirates

How does a night of fun and games sound with the kids tonight? If your family is anything like mine, it usually sounds like someone getting their feelings hurt because they didn’t win. Tonight, we played Rabbit Pirates “Shoot For The Loot” and I more than half expected that to be the case. I will be the first to admit that I was shocked that the only whining of ANY sort came at the end of the game…. when it was over and time for showers and bed!

That my friends, is a game night win!

What’s Inside The Rabbit Pirates Game Box?

What's inside the Pirate Rabbits game? Its a pretty set up thats for sure!
Inside Pirate Rabbits Shoot For The Loot Game!

Inside the box, all nicely packaged you will find three boards, called islands. There is also “shot cards” which is essentially your ammo. And, small round tiles called loot.

To play Rabbit Pirates, each player (up to 4) selects a player card from the deck. They then take turns laying face down their shot card under the character place holer on the board.

The cards are then flipped, revealing the tools, and the number of points. The player who laid down the highest number card wins the loot for that island.

What I have come to expect from RoosterFinWe love Rabbit Pirates! Such a fun game to play!

If you have been around for a while now, you know this family loves RoosterFin! We have played many kids games, and not one has disappointed us or let us down in more than one area!

The game itself is of the highest quality. You even get some great bonus material, that we LOVE to look at before the game starts. Bug always picks the toughest looking female character, and JR loves to pick the most stylish male character.

In Rabbit Pirates, along with the standard characters that we love to see, there is also a super glossy huge fold out that’s double-sided. One side, (in full color) is clear and easy to understand instructions. The other side tells a story and is honestly very beautiful. It tells all about the family, the history, and the quest to be the win Rabbit Pirates.

Pirate Rabbits comes with lots of bonus material!
Little details like character cards and bonus material show the thoughtfulness behind this game.

The Learning Side Of Shooting For The Loot

Don’t tell your kids this, but there is a teaching lesson hidden in Rabbit Pirates. At the end of the game, you get to open all of your “loot” that you have won. There is an assortment of different chests, containing rabbit dollars, in increments of 50, 30, 10 and a rotten fish tile that is -5. So adding and subtracting, but they don’t even realize that they are doing math! All they know is

“Hey! I got a rotten fish and have to take 5 coins off my total! Man!”

The game is pretty quick, but playing more than one full game is almost a MUST! (just don’t skip bath time, they should be ok!)

We Love Rabbit Pirates Shoot For The Loot

Shoot For The Loot with this Rabbit Pirates game!
Treasure chests that hold the loot you are trying to win! Each chest holds an amount of coins or, rotten fish that detract from the total points earned!

What’s your favorite game to play as a family? We own several games made by RoosterFin and each one is unique and puts a nice spin on things. We could (and have) make an entire day out of playing games. It’s nice to turn off the electronics and just bond as a family. You can tell that they take pride in bringing families back together, having fun, and creating memories.
