They say that a picture is worth a thousand words. The pictures I am sharing with you are worth so much more than that to me. You see, ALL my life, I have had the WORST hair. I have tried everything under the sun to tame my mane, and nothing has really left me satisfied. I actually could tell you some horror stories, but for now, I need to show you the most amazing product I have ever put into my locks. Amazonliss, the original Brazilian Keratin Treatment.

Whats in the box?
In the small box, that I might add looks WAY too small to hold the power to tame my horrid head of hair. Inside the box is a great quality set gloves, three bottles marked 1 2 and 3 and an illustrated card with written steps of the entire process and how to apply your Brazilian keratin treatment.
It Doesn’t Take A Village, This Time
I kinda stressed about this, with my hubby away on work and no girlfriends living very close to me, I considered having Bug help, but quickly decided against that, for obvious reasons. ( like, I don’t know if this will hurt my girl or what ) Admittedly, I didn’t need to worry because the entire process was super simple.
Wash Your Hair, Girl
The first step in the Brazilian keratin treatment is to superwash your hair. The package says that this will help to remove the oils and elements from your hair. I noticed that the color of the water was slightly colored ( purple, if you must know) from what I am guessing is the remains of the last dye I used.
While I was washing my hair, I kept thinking ” I wish I could capture the smell of this soap and share it on the blog.” Turns out, I can’t do that, nor can I definitively narrow down the origin of the smell. But I will tell you this: it was the most amazing smelling shampoo I have ever used on my hair. I felt like a camera should have been there for the Herbal Essences commercials.
Wash Rinse, Dry 85%
I must confess something to you. I don’t even own a blow dryer. The last time I used one I ended up with an afro that all of the 19702’s would have been jealous of. So, I was nervous. But only going to 85% dryness didn’t have me looking a hot mess.
The Solution Is This
I applied the solution as per the box instructions, with ease. Think dying your hair at home. Not the hardest thing to do right? My favorite thing so far has been the smell and the fact that I don’t have to mix anything! And as its going on, it totally smells like bubblegum.
PRO TIP:
When it comes time to straighten before the last wash, PLEASE be sure to properly ventilate the room. It seriously is my only complaint from the whole thing. The fumes that this Brazilian keratin treatment put off are strong for this step, and you don’t really notice it until it’s too late and your eyes are crying. I would say turn on the fan AND open a window if possible.
Wash, and Dry, again
The first time I washed my hair, it was leaned over the side of the bathtub. For the final rinse, might as well get in, because the intense repair conditioner needs to sit. Use this time to reflect on life. Or shave your legs. Whatever.
After I did the final blow out, I ran the flat iron over it, one more time. For that polish, it seems to give.
Final Thoughts On My Brazilian Keratin Hair Treatment
I was so excited to show this off, I went straight to Facebook ( who else do you turn to when you look and feel great about something? Facebook) And this is what I told them:
I have the WORST hair. You know, years of dye, neglect, and heat have done a number. Doesn’t help I have Wetch hair. Whatever. Tonight I finally found a product that not only smells good (what? Yes like bubble gum) but has transformed it from tangled, dead, and basically straw, to something I have NEVER seen on my head before. Seriously, I think I need a camera crew because this shit is on point. I’ll tell you all about it soon, but for now, just look at my head. Before and after do no justice for this. Sorry, had to share!!

Get Your Own Brazilian Keratin Treatment
The point is, that if my horrible excuse for hair can look like this, then EVERYONE’s hair can. After it was all said and done, I spent about 2 hours from start to finish. I also have enough of the bottle to do another Brazilian keratin treatment again in about 4 months. Oh, and, compared to what a salon would have charged for something like this (Y’all, I would have had to wear pants for that) the price is worth it.
