Mama’s Famous French Fry Recipe Revealed

Around my house, we like hearty foods, and usually can be found eating potatoes 4 out of 7 nights a week. What can I say? Potatoes are a fantastic side dish but sometimes can become monotonous and rather boring. Today I am going to share with you my famous French Fry Recipe. I promise even the pickiest eaters will devour these famous french fries, and they are so simple to make you will end up like me and have them more often than not!

Ice Ice Baby

I have found a little trick when making this Famous French Fry recipe. As you are cutting, toss them into a bowl of cold water. After you are finished cutting, dump water and add fresh cold water. I like to add smoked sea salt to help keep things cold.

Add Some Heat To Your Famous French Fry Recipe

I recommend that to start, you use a deep fryer set at 350 degrees f. While your oil is heating, take one handful and place on one side of a dish towel. Begin to pat and rub the fries gently. You want to remove as much of the water you can before adding to the hot oil, to be safe.

I love the deep frier my girl got me for Christmas. Do you own a deep fryer?

Fry your taters for about 3 1/2 min, until just brown. Remove from oil and allow to drain on paper towels. Continue until all are fried, lightly salting between batches.

Just before eating, toss half the batch (full basket) back into the hot oil after bumping it up to 375 degrees f. Allow frying about 2 min. This will help make them irresistibly crunchy.

Add Some Season To Your Famous French Fry Recipe

This is my favorite part of making these fries. I love to add a new flavor to dinner without much effort. For these, I use a nice sprinkle of garlic (about 1 tsp) and Jonnys Salt Seasoning and toss. After tossing, I sprinkle with shredded parmesan cheese.

Serve hot!

Season up those fries with love! Or just use parmesan cheese!
