Loreal Tint Caresse Orchid Blossom | Review

Today I am sharing a very unique product with you all – Loreal Tint Caresse in Orchid Blossom. It’s a recent release by Loreal in Japan, not sure where else it has been released. I found it a couple of weeks back while I was strolling down the isles of LOFT the other day. Due to it’s unique packaging and concept it immediately caught my attention and came back home with me. As you can tell by the name, it is more of a tint/stain than a lipstick. At first it looked like a powder lipstick to me, which is almost true for this. Read on to know more about Tint Caresse.

My Experience

At first, I wasn’t sure of how this would work. But as it is a really unique product, I couldn’t resist myself from getting one. It is designed to obtain beautiful ombrè lips; of course no one would kill if you wear it as full lip color. I got mine in the shade Orchid Blossom. It comes in a very classy metallic packaging that has a gradation in the respective color of the tint. It has a screw cap with the actual product inside the cap and the main body with an applicator sponge. The applicator is very soft and pointed which makes the application very smooth and great for doing ombrè. It is almost like using a pen.

Tried ombre lips with this. :)

This is a highly pigmented tint. It blends easily and very smooth to apply. It is a matte formula. It doesn’t dry out my lips or highlight any dry patches, but if you have extremely dry lips then I recommend you start off with exfoliating and conditioning your lips. It doesn’t feel heavy at all. On me, it stayed quite well for ~6-7 hours with meals and drinks. It didn’t transfer on my tea cup!

Just to show you how it looks when applied as full color
