Wachusett Food Truck & Craft Beer Festival 2016: One Last Hurrah!

Hey Food Truck fans!

Winter may be getting ready to rear its ugly head, but we foodie fanatics won’t go down without a fight, right?

If you want to have one last hurrah before the cold sets in, there’s a great opportunity right around the corner – the Wachusett Food Truck and Craft Beer Festival!

Wachusett Food Truck & Craft Beer Festival: The Deets

  • What: Wachusett Food Truck & Craft Beer Festival
  • When: November 12th, 12pm – 5pm (starts at 11am for VIPs)
  • Where: Wachusett Mountain (499 Mountain Road, Princeton, MA 01541)
  • Cost: $5 for tickets ahead of time, $10 at the door, $20 for VIP
  • Where to Buy Tickets: You can purchase tickets at ftfa.eventbrite.com

Food Truck Lineup

The Wachusett Food Truck Festival will feature popular favorites including:

  • Shuck Food Truck (from Cape Cod)
  • Away Café (from Massachusetts’ South Shore)
  • Roving Lunchbox (from Greater Boston)
  • Gotta Q BBQ (from Providence, RI)
  • + more!

Lots of new trucks here I myself haven’t tried before. I’m a huge fan of Roving Lunchbox, so I’m definitely psyched to nom on their meat pies, as well as try some of these other food trucks we don’t often get to see in Boston!

Can’t have food truck deliciousness without some beer to wash it down with? There’s a great lineup of craft breweries at this festival as well, including:

  • Oskar Blues
  • New Holland
  • Mayflower
  • Downeast Cider
  • Brooklyn Brewery
  • Bad Martha
  • Brewery Ommegang
  • Lagunitas
  • Champlain Orchards
  • + more!

Ticket Info

Tickets can be purchased before the event for just $5!

Tickets will cost $10 at the door, so definitely buy ahead of time and save some cash. Children under 12 are free!

There’s also an option for a VIP experience. VIP tickets are $20 and include:

  • Early open – get in at 11am and beat the crowds before general admission at 12pm.
  • One free dessert
  • Free non-alcoholic beverages
  • For an additional $5, you can also get one free craft beer ticket

Is the VIP ticket worth it? Not really. The biggest benefit I’d say is beating the lines, but in November I don’t think you’ll be dealing with the same kind of insane summer crowds you usually deal with at a food truck festival.

I did the VIP ticket once and the dessert was eh – you don’t get to choose, they just give you a brownie or something. The unlimited water is nice, but won’t be as essential in the cooler weather (I will say having access to that water was great for the summer festival though).

Still, if you want the cream-of-the-crop experience, go ahead and be a VIP!
