Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons of semi-sweet dark Chocolate Chips
  • 1/4 cup of Nutella
  • 2 tablespoons of unsalted Butter
  • 2 tablespoons of granulated Sugar
  • 1 egg at room temperature
  • 1/2 teaspoon of Vanilla extract/essence
  • 1 tablespoon of all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon of granulated sugar for dusting and fresh fruits (optional)

Procedure to be followed:

  • STEP 1: Pre-heat the oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit (220 Degrees Centigrade) and grease a (6 ounce) ramekin.
  • STEP 2: In a bowl, melt the chocolate chips and Butter in a double boiler or in a microwave for few 10 seconds. Allow it to cool.
  • STEP 3: Now beat in eggs until smooth. Add in Vanilla essence, granulated sugar and all purpose flour. Stir in to combine the Batter.
  • STEP 4: Transfer the batter into a ramekin and bake it for about 10 minutes. The edges should be firm and baked but the center should be like runny.
  • STEP 5: Run sharp knife around the edges and pop it out on a dessert plate. Dust with sugar and serve with fresh fruits.

Notes:

  1. Don't over bake the Lava Cakes, every extra single minute will result in the less filling from the center.
  2. Please dot use toothpick either to check from the center while baking otherwise all filling will comes out and your lava cake will lost its shape.
  3. You may refrigerate the batter for longer use, if batter is refrigerated for more than 5. Its better to keep out the batter first at room temperature before baking it in a Pre-heated oven.
  4. This serving is best for one or two persons; if required you may double or triple the quantity of a batter.
