How to make Cake Flour? Cake flour substitute

What is Cake flour? I found it a very useful post as so many members in my "group" were questioning me about cake flour substitute or its alternative. Interestingly, you can easily make it just with the use of plain flour and corn starch. These all are made of maize and corn.
There is a big confusion between corn flour and corn starch among us. Both are two distinct ingredients.
"CORN STARCH: is a starch made from grain and is used as a thickener. It does not contain fat or fiber."

"CORN FLOUR: is used to flavor baked goods and adds nutrition. It is gluten and fat free. It also contains fat and fiber, while corn starch is different. " 






HOW TO MAKE CAKE FLOUR?

Cake flours can be easily available at nearby super markets. This ingredient is used in many of our wonderful recipes of cake. In the meantime, if not getting one make it your own substitute at home. 
Just measure out the amount you need to make. 

"For example, in order to make 1 cup of Cake flour, take 1 cup of plain flour remove 2 tablespoons of it and add 2 tablespoons of Cornstarch.Same method applies to every cup of flour. Sieve it all together 5 to 6 times.You cake flour is ready to use... "
