Qutub Minar- Mystery of the Past!
It is the second tallest minaret in the world. It is present in the Mehrauli area of Delhi. This Brick minaret is 73 meters long and contains a spiral staircase of 379 steps. It’s a renowned tourist destination built by Qutub-Ud-din-Aibak- the founder of Delhi Sultanate. Earlier, the tourists could use the stairs to climb but after a huge accident in 1981, the tower has been closed for the public. The local and tourists are seen sitting with their families and friends enjoying groundnuts and ice creams in the premises. The administration charges Rs. 15 for Indians and Rs. 250 for foreign citizens to visit this mammoth structure. The monument is closed on Mondays. Another architecture to visit beside Qutub Minar is the Chhatarpur Temple. People traveling to Qutub Minar can take yellow line metro and board the train running to Huda City Center (towards Gurugram). The Yellow Line runs from Jahangir Puri to Huda City center. One can board at any station and drop either at Mehrauli or Qutub Minar station to view this gigantic beauty.

Lotus Temple – Symbolizing Religions!

Bangla Sahib Gurudwara-Defines Sikhism
Bangla Sahib Gurudwara is the holy place for Sikhism. It was first built by Sardar Bhagel Singh in 1783. The gurudwara premises has a holy Sarovar to take a dip in the holy water, a school, a hospital, a library and a large space to serve Langar meal to the devotees. The devotes can provide charity to the Gurudwara administration by purchasing cereals like rice or pulses. The shops are present in the Gurudwara premises from where tourists can purchase the charity items. There is no entry fee to this holy place and it is open for 24*7. One must drop at Central Secretariat metro station to reach the location easily.

The monument was constructed by Maharaja Jai Singh of Jaipur.The basic motive to construct this magical building was to accumulate astronomical tables which in turn would help to know or predict the movement of celestial bodies in the universe. The various types of instruments seen in the Jantar-Mantar are Samrat Yantra, Jayaprakash Yantra and the Misra Yantra and others. It remains to be a popular tourist destination and an acclaimed place for the astrologers. A nominal entry fee of Rs. 5 is charged as the entry fee and Rs. 250 for the foreigners.

Akshardham Temple- The Religious Dham for Tourists
Delhi tourism is incomplete without a visit to the Swaminarayan Akshardham temple. It is one of the largest Hindu temples in the world. The stunning architectural work of the temple with pink stones and white marbles makes it distinct from all the holy places of Delhi. Raj Ghat was the place where the Father of Nation was assassinated by Nathuram Godse. The room and the prayer ground of Gandhi Ji are open for public displaying the paintings and sculptures.
