Rempapa is offering afternoon tea every Saturday and Sunday in the months of May and June. Each afternoon tea set ($38++ for two) features a specially curated assortment of five savouries and five kueh that embraces the multi-cultural flavours of Singapore heritage. For the savouries, one can expect amongst others, naked curry puff (featuring beef striploin and Rempapa’s house-blend of meat curry spices), kong bak pau and glutinous rice with mushroom and peanuts. The one that stood out for me was the chicken deal slider – shredded chicken cooked with a rempah of shallots, bombay onions, ginger and dried chilli stuffed in a crispy pastry parcel.
The array of heritage kuehs need little introduction. We had the kosui, salat, bingo, abok saga and talam pandan.
Rempapa is nestled within PLQ Park Residences, a stone-throw away from Paya Lebar MRT station. This afternoon set is for those craving a taste of Singapore.
Budget per person: $38++ for two pax
