Kumoya x Tokidoki Cafe | First Tokidoki Pop-up Cafe In Singapore!

Media Tasting at Kumoya x Tokidoki Cafe

Tokidoki Pop-up Cafe is now open in Singapore!!! It is also World’s first Tokidoki Cafe. Expect a range of KAWAII mains, special snacks in limited edition Tokidoki snacks holder, desserts, beverages and merchandise. The merchandises which include limited edition plushies and more! I’m super tempted to grab all the kawaii unicorn plushies home.

For those who are new to Tokidoki, Tokidoki is the Japanese-inspired lifestyle brand debuted in 2005 by Italian artist Simone Legno and his business partners Pooneh Mohajer and Ivan Arnold.

When I have gone to the other Japanese Restaurants they usually serve Japanese curry rice just as a sauce, no veggies, probably chicken or prawns and side of white rice. The kawaii Donutella is a cute little character and dressed up in a donut ear costume! Teriyaki flavoured Japanese rice set on Japanese curry accompanied with tempura salmon, breaded ebi, breaded scallops, calamari rings and garden salad. The teriyaki flavoured Japanese rice is not overpowering in a mild rich and fragrant curry gravy with decent seafood ingredients.

Donutella & Sweet Friends Japanese Curry Rice at S$25.90

That’s probably one of the biggest sushi I had so far! Nicely pressed sushi rice with grilled unagi, Japanese cucumber and cheddar cheese. On a bright side, I got an extra-large piece of unagi basted with a sweet teriyaki sauce and sandwiched between two slices of extra-large sushi rice.

All Tokidoki special snacks including onion rings, sweet potato, nacho cheese fries presented in a limited edition Tokidoki snacks holder.

Moofia-Protected Pressed Sushi Rice at S$24.90

Donutella is giving a sweet treat! A blend of popcorn syrup, milk and popcorn then topped with fresh whipped cream, caramel sauce and caramel popcorn. It may be too sweet for some of you. I would have enjoyed more if it is more toasty and less sweet. Honestly, I ordered this drink for the kawaii Donutella float so that I can take home. HA HA!!

Donutella Sweet Treat Caramel Popcorn Frappe at S$17.90.

A frappe made up of cheesecake syrup and blended with strawberry fruit mix and milk. Garnished with red rosebuds, fresh whipped cream and a sprinkle of little rainbow bits. Not a fan of this strawberry frappe, tasted of artificial sweeteners.

Donutella’s First Love! Strawberry Cheese Frappe at S$17.90.

What catches your eye first in this seafood ramen? For me, it’s definitely the kooky Merlion fish cake! Heard from one of the Tokidoki fans that this kooky Merlion is exclusive to Singapore. It’s so cute that we couldn’t bear to eat it! I shall feast on crayfish, scallops, ramen egg, spring onion and wakame instead.

A Lot-of-Things Lah! Merlion Seafood Ramen at S$28.90.

This is my favourite dish from Tokidoki Cafe. The chicken katsu burger is accompanied with hand-cut fries, garden salad with cute ‘bones’ fish cakes and a cute little sweet Polpettina pink mantou. The chicken katsu patty was juicy and tender, deep-fried to crispy and glazed in a sweet teriyaki sauce. We were making a guess whether the pink mantou is a plain bun. To our surprise, the custard lava flowed once we sliced open.

SANDy and Polpettina Full-of-Life Chicken Katsu Burger at S$23.90.

Hokkaido Berries Soft Serve and special buttery charcoal waffles, kawaii Ciao Ciao heart cookies, homemade brownies, fresh berries, strawberry chocolate coated cereal crunch, fresh cream and dark chocolate sauce. The homemade brownies tasted good however we were disappointed with the hokkaido berries soft serve. It was too milky, there aren’t much berries taste in it.

Adios and Ciao Ciao’s Farewell Fantasy Charcoal Waffles at S$22.90.

As featured a special dual swirl of Hokkaido berries soft serve, handcrafted rainbow wafer bowl, rainbow wafer sticks, unicorno cookies, homemade brownies, special heart konnyaku jelly and fluffy cotton candy. Have you spotted the cutie pink Peperino at the back? Get this FREE 4.5″ Peperino or Marea plush key ring (worth S$9.90) with every purchase of this dessert! The gifts are while stocks last, grab it before it’s all gone.

The unicorn plushies that I mentioned earlier. Ain’t they kawaii?

Pssst, I heard that some of the plushies are limited edition.
