Friday Roundup: August 1st – August 7th

The Friday Roundup is a weekly collection of five of my favorite blog posts from around the world. It’s my little way of getting the word out about all of my favorite tea blogs. Is there someone I’m missing? Let me know about it in the comments below!

Do you really need to take tea tasting notes?

Anna from The Tea Squirrel contemplated the usefulness of tasting notes. This is something I often think about myself. She offered some great tips on taking better notes and gave her thoughts on Teawala’s tasting journal. I love the visual boards that she made.

Starbucks Chai Frappuccino Copycat

Jee from Oh, How Civilized is so good at replicating some of Starbucks’ most popular tea beverages. This week she shares a tasty recipe to make a chai frappucino at home. Spicy, sweet, and refreshing; I can’t wait to give it a try!

Lessons about Authenticity from the Online Tea Community

Authenticity is something I see discussed often in the tea community, but what does that really mean? Traci from Tea Infusiast gives us some food for thought in this intriguing post. The part where she talks about making Reels on Instagram really hit home for me.

Limoncello Gin Tea Cocktail | A Fun Twist on a Classic!

Speaking of refreshing, Danielle from Tea & Me concocted a delicious-sounding recipe for a Limoncello tea cocktail. I love how the thyme sprig looks in her frosty glass. It sounds like this tea was the perfect match for the herbaceous character of gin.

Sipping & Slurping & Burping OH MY!

Have you ever noticed that some teas make you burp more than others? Eric at Tea Crimes attempted to do some digging into this phenomenon. We don’t quite have an answer, but it was an interesting read nonetheless.
