Two Awesome dishes at Guadalajara, Houston

Two dishes is all it took for me to attain satiety! OK, so the Mexican and Tex-Mex line is not going away anytime soon. Guadalajara calls itself the best Mexican restaurant in Houston, while having a small menu space dedicated for Tex-Mex specialties. So whether it is as close to Mexican or not, clearly for someone from India visiting America, this is possibly the closest we can get to true Mexican flavours. Way better than most other 'Tex-Mex' I've had in malls or other parts of America!

The beef fajita and a grilled chicken breast are the two dishes in question. Beautifully grilled, USDA aged beef, was rendered beautifully tender to be wrapped by the soft tortillas with the guacamole, rice, cheese and pico de gallo playing perfect side kicks to the beef. With the size of our mouth, we certainly needed more tortilla to ensure that the beef was done justice to.

The lemony grilled breast, called the Pollo Margarita, a nice mesquite grilled chicken was waiting patiently as we dealt with our beef. The chicken was no pushover either and while it didn't need the rice and beans to be complete, I guess, they had to be there in a Mexican restaurant. Juicy and the lemony hit was an overdose, albeit in a nice way. Almost like you want to be overpowered by the lime.

A red velvet cake with whipped cream and ice cream wrapped up our lunch and our satiety!

There are four outlets in Houston and we went to the one in Woodlands.
