Summer Mojito Recipe: Mix It Up Without The Added Sugar

Summertime cookouts can lead to a lot of extra summertime Calories, especially when you add alcohol to the mix.

According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, one can of regular  beer (365g) contains about 153 calories and one glass of white wine (147g or 5 oz.) contains 121 calories.(1) When you consider that people usually have more than one beer and/or glass of wine at summer celebrations, those numbers add up fast. When you add in classic summer cocktails like mojitos and margaritas, the calories and sugars really begin to take off.

To solve this dilemma, you could:

  1. Not partake in any adult beverage consumption and stick to water.
  2. Find some ways to lighten up your favorite cocktails.

If you’re going with Option 2 we can help with that. Our Mojito has no added sugar and sweetens this summer mix with stevia for sweet, summer flavor without the extra calories.

It cuts the traditional drink calories (168 calories) to 135, which is almost 25 percent of the calories. It also reduces the sugars from 8 grams in the traditional drink to 0 grams! Check out the full recipe below.
