Costco sells a 32-ounce (2-pound) tub of Rojo’s Street Corn Dip for $8.49. The dip can be found in the refrigerated deli area of the warehouse near some of the other dips like the Bitchin Dip (My favorite Costco dip), Guacamole Cups, and the La Terra Fina Dips.
The street corn dip is gluten-free and can be eaten hot or cold.
What’s in Costco’s Street Corn Dip
This dip attempts to replicate a Mexican street corn, elote. This street corn dip is very similar to elote as it will include corn, green chiles, cheddar and cotija cheese.
I want to point out that Mexican street corn is usually made with mayo and sour cream, but the main ingredient in this dip is yogurt, which is a little bit of a relief as a tub of mayonnaise-based dip doesn’t sound so appetizing.
Costco Cost Comparison
The 2-pound tub of street corn dip retails for $8.49, but I was able to pick it up at the discounted price of $5.99. The dip had a sizable 30% discount of $2.50. It’s reasonably priced at $8.49 per tub, but it becomes a fantastic deal when on sale at $5.99.
The street corn dip is on par with some of the other dips that Costco sells. Most of the dips fall in the $8-$10 range and are definitely party-sized.
Rojo’s Street Corn Dip Taste Test
I’m a big fan of Elote, and I always consider it a treat when I actually get my hands on some, so I was super excited to try this street corn dip.
Unfortunately, it just wasn’t my favorite flavor profile. It did have a lot of great flavors, and even though its main ingredient is yogurt, I thought the mayonnaise flavor was a touch overwhelming.
The texture of the dip was perfect, but the individual corn pieces felt out of place to me.
Maybe it’s necessary to include the corn considering this a corn dip, but it wasn’t appealing to me and just provided a weird crunch and juiciness.
I did actually like the rest of the flavors, especially the green chile and the cheese. The label states the street corn dip is mildly spicy, but I really didn’t get much spice from the dip at all.
I would have enjoyed it more with some heat and even more lime flavor.
How to use the Street Corn Dip
The most common and simplest way to use this corn dip is to eat it with tortilla chips. It’s a classic combo, and the dip is very easy to scoop. Plus, you get to dip corn chips into a corn dip for the corn-on-corn action.
Aside from using the dip as a dip, it also makes a great spread/condiment for Mexican-style dishes. It’s a corn flavored alternative to sour cream and can be used anywhere sour cream is used.
The dip is a great add-on and will provide some unique flavor to a quesadilla or even tacos.
For some non-Mexican dishes, the corn dip is great to spruce up some Mac and Cheese and is a great dip for vegetables.
If you are tired of ranch or onion dip, the street corn dip is an excellent alternative with a lot of flare.

The street corn dip isn’t a positive addition to your diet, but having a few scoops of it at a party isn’t the worst thing in the world.
Final Thoughts
I’ve been eyeing the street corn dip for quite a while, but it fell short of expectations. The flavors were there, but the dip had a strong mayonnaise taste.
The price is fair, and I’m sure the dip will go quickly at parties, but it just wasn’t my favorite. I did like that it is quite versatile, and the dip can be used in other meals, such as quesadillas or tacos.
