About This Recipe

The first time I made a fruit crumble bar, I didn’t know that this simple dessert could easily win over all family members. You could use almost any kind of summer fruits to make these chewy, soft and buttery bars. I have a couple crumble bar recipes on the site already which are as delicious as Peach Crumble Bars. Apricot crumble bars, strawberry crumble bars and sour cherry crumble bars!

Peach crumble bars with a buttery shortbread crust, juicy peach filling and melt-in-your-mouth streusel topping. Just six ingredients is all you’ll need to make this peach crumble bar. A handful of basic ingredients that you already have stocked in your pantry.

Why You Will Love This Recipe

  • Super easy: A strong reason why crumble bars have become so popular is their simple recipe. Crumble streusel topping and crust are made from the same mixture and jammy filling is soooo easy to make. They’re perfect with a generous scoop of ice cream.
  • Portable: Easy to cut into the perfect sized squares and perfect for a breakfast on the go or picnics.
  • Great leftovers: You can store these strawberry crumble bars in an airtight container at room temperature for 2-3 days or in the refrigerator for 3-4 days.

What You Need To Make Peach Crumble Bars

  • Peaches: It’s best to use ripe and sweet peaches when they’re in season for this recipe.
  • Brown sugar: Brown sugar adds a caramel taste to the crumble bar crust.
  • Granulated sugar: I used granulated sugar to sweeten the filling. You can adjust the sweetness of the filling according to your taste. If you use sweet peaches, you don’t need to add a lot of sugar.
  • Flour: Plain all-purpose flour works best for these crumble bars.
  • Baking powder: The baking powder helps the crust and topping to puff and brown.
  • Butter: The butter makes the crust and topping flaky and crisp.
  • Egg: The egg softens the dough and enriches the flavor.
  • Salt: Add salt to balance the sweetness.
  • Vanilla extract: Vanilla extract adds flavor and taste to the filling.
