Mango paneer tikka recipe on tawa - Mango paneer tikka recipe - Paneer recipes - Mango recipes - Mango Vegetarian Recipes

Whenever I go to barbeque nation Paneer tikka is one of starter I like. To be frank, Paneer is something I start to enjoy in the last few years. Before that, I was not a big fan of any milk products. However, my kids love paneer. So I do make a paneer base recipe almost once a week. I wanted to try this Mango Paneer Tikka for this mango season. I loved the unique flavor that mango gives to this dish. I have used alphonso mango. I feel that goes well for this recipe and gives a nice color. This is a perfect starter/snacks

Ingredients:
To marinade
Hung curd - 1/4 cup
Garam masala - 1/2 teaspoon
Red chili powder - 1/2 to 1 teaspoon
turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
Salt to taste
Mango puree - 1/4 cup
besan flour - 1.5 tablespoons

For Tikka

Paneer - 200g (I have made 10 pieces out of it)
Capsicum - 1/4 inch cubes (I have used Red, yellow, green)
Onion - 1/2 (cut into 1/4 inch)
Olive oil - 3 tablespoons

Method:

Tie curd/yogurt in a muslin cloth for 30 mins. Mix everything under the marinade section together with hung curd

Mix well. Add paneer, capsicum, onion.

Mix well. Keep it aside for 1 hr to 2 hrs. Take skewers and arrange paneer, capsicum, onion. Keep it aside

Heat oil in a grill pan. Arrange skewers and cook it in slow flame till slight brown

Turn it over and cook again. Continue to cook until all sides are done.

Remove it. Serve!
