Avocado Grilled Cheese Sandwich

Cheesy and delicious Grilled Cheese Sandwich filled with avocado slices and tomato slices. These sandwiches are perfect to enjoy on a cold winter day. Served with your favorite soup or crackers. It takes less than 20 minutes to prepare these sandwiches from start to finish, making them great for a quick lunch or weekday meal.

To prepare the sandwiches, avocado slices are placed onto 2 of the slices of bread. Sliced pepper jack cheese and tomato slices are placed over the avocado. Place the remaining bread on top. Evenly spread butter on the outsides of the bread. Cook in a skillet over medium-low heat, until both sides are lightly browned and the cheese has melted.

Ingredients

  • 4 slices bread
  • 1 large avocado, peeled and sliced
  • 2 slices pepper jack cheese
  • butter

Instructions

  • Butter one side of each slice of bread. Place avocado slices on 2 slices of bread. Top with one slice of cheese, followed by the remaining bread, butter side up.
  • Cook in a skillet over medium-low heat. Cook until lightly browned. Flip and cook the other side until browned and the cheese has melted.
