Bat Cupcakes

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Ingredients for Chocolate Buttercream Frosting

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 2-3 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chocolate sprinkles
  • 12 Oreo cookies, halved
  • m&ms

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 F. Line a 12 cup muffin pan with cupcake liners. In a large bowl, whisk flour, sugar, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder together. Add in milk, oil, eggs, and vanilla extract, whisk until smooth.
  • Evenly divide cupcake batter between cupcake liners. Bake for 18-20 minutes. Let cool completely. Beat all of the chocolate frosting ingredients together until smooth. Place sprinkles in a shallow dish.
  • Frost cupcakes. Dip the tops of cupcakes in the sprinkles. Place two m&ms at the top for eyes and 2 Oreo cookie halves at the sides.
