Sophistry is an ongoing exploration of hops from Lupulin Brewing. They know their hops, but this series is a fun taste of new and experimental hop action. Lupulin Brewing Sophistry 06 is the latest iteration in this ongoing series and has some sweet hop hits.

Hops are a continually evolving horticulture product. The best way to learn about the latest is to brew something with them. The brewers learn more, and we get to enjoy the fruits of their labor. Sophistry is just such a series of beers. An opportunity to check out new hop options and see how they land on a full-batch scale.

Strong citrus aroma with notes of dry and bitter grapefruit, lemon, a bit of orange, and distant peach.

Made with Citra, Lotus, Sabro, Sultana, Exp. 07270, and Lemondrop hops, along with an addition of lemon peel, Sophistry 06 has plenty of lemon flavor. There are notes of orange marmalade, lemon peel, and a smooth and slightly creamy body, thanks to the wheat and oat additions to the pale and Golden Promise malt.
