3 EASY MEXICAN SALSAS FOR SNACKING

Have you heard about the food mantra “eat small and often”? I definitely relate with it as I love snacking, especially savoury, tangy snacks like these super yummy 3 Mexican salsas that I want to share with you.

These salsas are some of my favourite Mexican snacks that I love to prepare for friends reunions or during the weekends for a Netflix marathon. They are amazingly good when sharing with crispy corn chips and pairing with a good beer.

What I like the most about these Mexican snacks is that they are super quick to prepare and cooking is not required at all! Additionally, these 3 Mexican Salsas are healthy, light, stress-free and 100% vegan. All boxes ticked!

The following recipes are totally customizable. If there is an ingredient that you dislike feel free to take it out. If there is an ingredient you love so much add a little bit more of it. It’s absolutely okay! Own the recipe my friend, inject it your own personality. This is what Mexican food is all about!

PICO DE GALLO SALSA WITH MANGO

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup diced fresh mango
  • 1 cup diced fresh Roma tomato
  • 1 tablespoon finely diced onion (white or red onion)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh squeezed lime juice
  • 1 sprig minced fresh coriander
  • 1 finely chopped fresh Jalapeno chili
  • 1 teaspoon salt

PINEAPPLE & JALAPENO SALSA

Ingredients: 

  • 4 slices fresh diced pineapple
  • 1 tablespoon finely diced onion (white or red onion)
  • 1 sprig minced fresh coriander
  • 1 finely chopped fresh Jalapeno chili
  • 1 tablespoon fresh squeezed lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon salt

AVOCADO AND CHERRY TOMATO SALSA (IT’S NOT GUACAMOLE)

Ingredients: 

  • 1 ½ ripe avocados peeled, pitted and diced
  • 1 tablespoon diced red onion
  • ½ cup halved small cherry tomatoes
  • 3 sprigs fresh cilantro, stemmed and roughly chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh squeezed lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Preparation for the 3 salsas:

  1. Combine all the ingredients in a small bowl (1 bowl per salsa recipe).
  2. Taste and adjust the seasonings if required.
  3. Serve with corn chips.
