‘Food-E’ for the Foodie !

‘Food-E’ is a catchy and compact name for a restaurant / cafe. Located in one of the happening places of Bangalore  –  Koramangala  , its an apt place for anyone craving for Asian Fusion food. Lot of variety in the menu and the amalgamation of various cuisines is a plus point here. A good thing here is that they keep changing the menu as per the feedback received and they have special menu’s planned for festivals alike. We were here for a bloggers meet and it was an experience to cherish.

Ambiance is full of fun. Tacky Food Images dot the interiors.A Tv adds to the entertainment factor. Nice lighting arrangement. There is also a Feedback area for guests to suggest changes on. The place is small with a few tables but the ambiance makes it very lively and happening. The open kitchen allows folks here to watch the chef’s at work.

Litchi Splash is what we started off our evening here.A refreshing blend of Litchi with crushed ice and topped with cranberry juice.

Appetizers

Paneer Pakodas : A twist to the regular pakodas with a spicy Sauce infused between paneer slices and deep fried to goodness. Nice on taste and crispy as well. This is part of the special year end delicacy and not part of the regular menu.

Corn Bhel Nachos : Nachos with corn , peanuts and veggies. A very filling dish which makes one crave for more after the first bite. Just plain nachos by itself are a regular snack, enhancing it by these ingredients with tamarind chutney on top was yum !

Spicy Wok Tossed Chicken: One of my favourites.Boneless chicken with spices and an excellent sauce. Delicious !

Chicken Wings Platter:  Tangy Chilli, Honey Sesame, Pudina and Fiery Wings made up the platter. A different take on the platter and a good one too. Pudina wings stood out for me.A very colorful plate as well with a nice glaze on the honey one.

Main Course

Kerala Chicken Rice Bowl: Dish of the day for me ! The chicken was excellent with flavors of mustard, curry leaves, pepper and coconut infused. Layered on a bed of rice sauteed with onions, carrots and cashews, it was a delicacy to relish.

Palak Paneer Rice Bowl: Another delicious dish , same rice as in the chicken bowl layered with paneer infused in a spinach gravy. One of the best Palak paneer’s I have had in a while

Kadai Pasta: Indian version of a pasta with the Kadai masala making up the pasta sauce. The one we tried was a vegetarian one while the other variant available was the boneless chicken. Though the idea is good, I am not a big fan of the Kadai masala itself so did not click for me.

Hariyali Pasta: Perfect in every way ! Pahadi spices with coriander and mint made up the sauce and we went with the chicken variant. Unique taste and this one rang all the bells for me.Succulent pieces of chicken took the taste level a notch up.

Shrimp Masala Noodle Bowl: Oriental style preparation with Baby Shrimps in a garlic sauce layered on a bed of vegetable noodles. Seafood and Noodles always go well and so did this dish. Shrimp was well done and flavours were nicely infused. Toss the sauce around with the noodles to enhance the experience.

Chettinadu chicken With Sub: Chettinadu chicken has always been my favourite and was hoping to find a similar taste profile with this dish and it was a smiling face after tasting it. Only twist here was that it part of a sub which is rare to find in any other place. It does go well with the sub and good quantity  as well with perfectly cut pieces of chicken cubes

Another unique factor about this place is that they offer wraps with 3 different types of base with choices of  dosa, paratha or sub roll which is a good thought process. Good variety on the combo’s as well.

Pan Shot Milkshake : What a way to end our meal here. A blend of vanilla icecream and sweet paan ( Betel Leaves, Gulkand and Kesar Supari) – it was a shot too good indeed !

They have a special menu planned for the year end and is bound to tickle your taste buds in a good way. Go for it ! Service and hospitality was good. Parking could be an issue in this area.
