My list of referral programs and affiliate links

Most hobbyist bloggers want to try to minimise their costs of hosting and blogging by placing some ads, and maybe a referral link here and there. I’m no different. Money is money. Even if it’s just enough for coffee. But more importantly, I also like to share software or products I personally use, and can vouch for. So here are some referral programs and affiliate links to products I use and personally recommend.

Cryptocurrency – Crypto.com MCO VISA card

I’ve been a user of multiple crypto exchanges and products over the years, and I have to say, crypto.com is simply the easiest way to:

  1. On-ramp from fiat to crypto, whether you wish to buy Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin or even erm.. Dogecoin (Okay, I won’t judge).
  2. Spend your currencies. You get a physical VISA metal card with your account, and you can spend it easily by converting it to fiat, and earn rewards in the form of cashback in MCO each time you use your card.
  3. Earn rewards. Depending on the tier of card and MCO staking you make, you can earn full rebates for your Spotify and Netflix. Higher tiers get airport lounge access! My card is the next to lowest tier, so I’m only getting free Spotify. But hey, it’s free Spotify!

They have a bunch of other interesting products such as earning interest, and a cold wallet (not your keys, not your coin) that you can check out as well.

If you sign up via my referral link, and stake at least 50 MCO (currently valued at USD$228) to get your card, we’ll both get USD$50 in MCO, credited into our accounts! Staking period lasts 6 months.

*If you’re new to crypto, this would be the easiest way to get into crypto. But once you have built up a sizeable portion of it, I highly recommend shifting the bulk of it to a cold storage wallet.

Design – Canva referral link

I’m sure you’ve heard of Canva. This aussie born unicorn has created millions of “designers” and is a super easy to use, intuitive graphic design platform. All of the featured images on my blog are made using Canva.

Canva is free to use, and its free product is already awesome as it is. There are paid tiers for personal and team use, and unlocks features such as their full suite of icons and images, as well as the ability to save transparent PNG files.

But if you don’t require those, and mainly use it for cropping and resizing of your own images layered with text, then the free version is really all you need.

If you sign up via my link, then you get 1 Canva credit, which allows you to redeem premium images and icons, so feel free to give it a whirl.

Business and Entrepreneurship – Trends.co Affiliate

If you’re into business opportunities, hustling, entrepreneurship, then you need to get into Trends.co. This is a paid subscription product of theHustle group, founded by Sam Parr.

He also has a podcast with Shaan Puri, senior director of product at Twitch by day, podcast hustler with Sam by night.

Trends.co is a $299 annual subscription product, and has a good mix of trending signals in terms of businesses and opportunities, as well as deep dives into various industries and their business models.

theHustle started as a daily newsletter product (which they still run), and combined with the podcast and trends, form a pretty powerful tool kit for entrepreneurs. When you subscribe to Trends, you’ll be part of the trends facebook community as well.

I myself am a Trends subscriber, and I find the articles extremely useful, and the network valuable. You can try trends for $1 for 2 weeks, and access their articles to see for yourself.

CFD Trading – CMC Markets

CMC Markets is the platform I use to trade Contracts for Difference (CFD). These are derivative products and tied to the underlying equities. In other words, I can trade on the price movement (long or short) on margin (using leverage) and I don’t actually own stocks of the underlying companies.

You can view some of the trades I made with CMC on my income reports. What I like about using CMC markets is their comprehensive training and lessons, as well as their mobile app UI, which is really intuitive to use.

You can also sign up for a dummy account to try out the platform and make paper trades as a dry run before signing up to their platform proper. Sign up with my link below, fund your account with S$1,000 and start trading within 3 months, and we both receive S$250 bonus credited to our accounts. This offer is valid to residents in Singapore only.

Web Hosting – Bluehost Affiliate

This site is hosted on bluehost, and I’ve used them for years, since I started my personal blog at vinyarb.com. I’ve found them to be really stable and have not had to email them for any support, which is always great.

You can easily purchase domains from them as well, and with one-click WordPress setup, blogging is a smooth process from domain shopping to writing your first post.

Hosting packages start from $2.95 per month with the link below.

I can vouch for these services, and I hope you find value in using them.

Oh! Last but not least, I’ve also recently started writing a newsletter, where I research on how to get better at various things, ranging from being more articulate, and how to hone your critical thinking skills. If you like things like that, please subscribe to my newsletter. It’s free!
