Adani Ports Profits Surge to ₹1677 Crores at 69% YoY, Crossing estimates

Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Ltd (APSEZ) disclosed on Tuesday that its September quarter consolidated profit surged to ₹1,677.48 crores at 68.5% YoY, and its revenue climbed up to ₹5,210.8 crores at 33%. The market analysts had earlier projected the profit figures of APSEZ to reach ₹1,311 crores.

APSEZ CEO Karan Adani said, “H1 FY23 is a record half-year in APSEZ’s history, with the highest ever cargo volume, revenue, and EBITDA. Extending this strong performance into October, APSEZ achieved 200 MMT of cargo through-put within seven months, another new milestone.” Karan added that Adani Ports’ record cargo volumes displayed an impressive 24% YoY jump in Port EBITDA, while the EBITDA of the logistics business surged 57% YoY, in the first half of the current financial year.

The organization is aligned to reach its goal of full-year guidance of 350-360 MMT cargo volumes and EBITDA of ₹12,200-12,600 crore. The margin expansion of the logistics segment continued with a 470 bps YoY rise to ride the smartness in better utilization of assets and an increased share of the GPWIS revenue stream.
