What were the initial challenges after venturing into the field, and what are the challenges now?

The Scope for facility management has always been big, when the concept was inspired, it took a lot of time for the clientele to understand the portfolio. The processes needed a lot of change with the change in customer requirements. There were fewer areas where I could concentrate on as the ways to reach the clients were limited.

Now the digitalization movement has set in, and it has inspired a lot of new players; hence the competition is at large; the digitalization has opened up the market by leaps and bounds.

There is a lot of research and development that is required to ensure our presence in the market with changing customers’ needs. The expectations of the clients have also seen a tremendous change. They require innovative solutions for their chores. There is a shift in trend post the digitalization of services. Being an experienced leader, share with us your opinion on how technology is transforming the industry, and what advancements can we expect in the future?

Bhaskar hails from a humble family, has a Postgraduate degree, and over three decades of expertise in facility management. After working in the corporate admin and facility fields for 17+ years, he gained the exceptional quality of recognizing people’s skills, identifying the required mentoring style, and guiding the entire team for successful results.

He began his career with TVS in 1984, then moved to Titan Industries Ltd to handle facilities in 1986, and from Titan, he moved to BPL as head of facilities in 1998. He evaluates difficult scenarios and offers strategies to secure the company’s survival and growth.

With his extensive understanding of corporate facilities, he determined that time is one of the most essential aspects of building a good work and personal environment. In 2002, he decided to form a new company using the abilities he gained from his corporate experience.
