It also explained that a foreign corporation which has no permanent establishment in South Korea has to pay withholding tax. Such taxation bills have yet not applied to the cryptocurrency trading industry.

Bithumb also plans to put up a fight to avoid paying the law and has been considering administrative litigation while abiding the ruling. This has been a tough year for Bithumb.
