Fake crypto airdrop campaign, OpenAI CTO’s Twitter account was hacked

A hacker somehow hacked the Twitter account of Mira Murati and tried to scam huge numbers of people via a suspicious crypto-airdrop campaign.

OpenAI is a popular Artificial intelligence (AI) tech firm. In Nov of last year, this firm launched a high-tech AI chatbot “ChatGPT”. ChatGPT can perform several online tasks within a matter of clicks and also interacts with humans more like a human.

The majority of the Crypto Twitter noted that the attached link was suspicious and people suggested everyone not participate in any type of such campaign.

At present, that tweet is not available as Mira succeeded to recover her account & further deleted that tweet. So far no one crypto Twitter reported any kind of scam/hack incident associated with this fake airdrop campaign.

Earlier this on 26 May 2023, The Twitter account of the Sandbox CEO Arthur Madrid was hacked and also the hacker tried to trick innocent crypto investors via a fake airdrop campaign.

The Sandbox team was quick to identify the hacking incident & reported this incident within a matter of minutes to the Sandbox token community.

Our CEO & Co-Founder Arthur Madrid’s Twitter account has been hacked

The hacker is posting a scam / phishing link for a fake airdrop of SAND tokens.

Do NOT click on the link and instead report the post so it is blocked.

Suspicious crypto airdrop campaign

In the usual suspicious crypto token airdrop program, hackers usually attach a third-party link to allow the victims to collect the free tokens and the whole game starts there.

Malicious smart contracts accessed the wallet & then drain the free token collector’s crypto wallet fully, such a type of scam is not a strange thing in the present time.
