Scammers….it seems that they never let up and their tactics are ever changing!
Over the past few weeks I have received an ever increasing number of emails from what appears to be a major credit card company, that I have an Account with, stating that “my account information” had changed AND THAT IF I FAILED TO VERIFY THE INFORMATION MY ACCOUNT WOULD BE CANCELLED.
Today, I received in my Spam folder a email from “Apple” with the subject “Your Apple ID has been suspended [#896433]”.
After some checking, I found this link https://www.hackread.com/apple-id-suspension-phishing-scam/ which explains that is it indeed a scam as I thought! Specifically, it is called a “Phishing scam”.
The following provides a definition for phishing scam and ways to minimize the threats of them.
