5 Things a Mom needs during Prom time

Tags: prom camera

So is it time for Prom already for you daughter or son?  I can’t believe it is my son’s junior prom in a couple weeks.  A mom can be very nervous and excited for this time in their child’s life.  Every mom needs to remember certain things when it comes to special times like the prom.  The mom is the mom she can’t decide for her child what they want or how they will act.  A mother can give a great amount of advice though.

Special needs at Prom time

** Patience — Do not rush them to get ready.  A mom always needs patience at any special moment in their child’s life.

** Camera or phone with camera with full battery.  A camera or phone is needed to take the many pictures you will want to remember this special day.  I have been places where my camera had a low battery and I could not take the wedding pictures I wanted to.

** Scrapbook supplies — Do you scrapbook?  Then you will need special details for those scrapbook pages that will cover the prom event.

** Coupons  — Maybe you use coupons to purchase the suit, shoes or the rental of the tux.  Make sure to read the small print if you can use the coupons on that purchase.

** Tissue — As a mom, sometimes we may cry seeing our children all dressed up and looking great.  It can be sad seeing them grow up right before our eyes.

I am so thankful that the weekend of prom, I will be off work so I will be able to see my son get dressed up for this special moment.  Prom is a special event in a child’s high school years.  Mothers and grandmothers like to hover over their children to make sure they look perfect and take plenty of pictures.
