Last September an Ontario couple purchased 2 lottery tickets, promising each other to split any winnings. The man ended up winning $6.1 million. He then dumped her, attempting to take all the winnings with him when he did. His ex is now suing him for half the winnings PLUS any punitive damages. She’s hoping to win $3.5 million in a jury trial; his lawyer has stated that he has no intentions of giving her anything.
