Why you should check your deodorant for THIS toxic ingredient

We're all human, so unless you're a unicorn, you can also use a little protection against body odor. We all use some sort of deodorant (I hope so, at least) but for the ladies in particular, there is something you might want to check: does your deodorant contain aluminium?

Many deodorants contain aluminum as an active Ingredient. Aluminum is also a known neurotoxin, it is toxic to the body. The aluminum also causes that allergic reaction that many of us experiece when we find that our underarms are irritated: it is because of that toxic ingredient. The most concerning about this ingredient is that it has been associated with breast cancer. The aluminium seems to block the sweat glands, which can lead to tumors. Deodorants that contain aluminium have also been linked to kidney problems; not very pleasant either!

Luckily, there are many aluminium free deodorants out there. Just check the ingredients on the back: aluminum-free deodorants should consist of essential oils and all natural ingredients. Brands like Earth Science, Dr. Hauschka and Weleda are great brands to look for when you want an aluminium free deodorant. They keep you smelling fresh and they're totally safe to use!
