The Museum of FIT Presents 'Exhibiting Fashion' Symposium March 8, 2019 FREE

The Museum of FIT is presenting a free symposium on the art and science of museum fashion curation.

Have you ever wondered how museums like the Museum at FIT create fashion exhibitions? This symposium explores the history of fashion curation, how fashion is displayed in museums, and how national costumes, regional identities et al influence how fashion is displayed.

The symposium will be held March 8, 2019 at 10 am, at the Museum at FIT Morris W. and Fannie B. Haft Theater on the second floor of the Marvin Feldman Center.  The event is free and open to the public. Seats are first come, first serve via reservations. Can't make it? The Museum at FIT is located Seventh Avenue at 27 Street , New York City. The museum is free and open to the public. It's open Tues - Fri Noon - 8pm, Saturday 10am - 5pm. Closed Sundays and holidays. For  more information on the museum and its exhibits, visit the site.
