Celebrity makeup artist, Allan Avendano for H&M Beauty had this to say about Ashley's look, "We really let the gown speak tonight. The H&M dress is a perfect representation of this year's Met Gala theme and Ashley's vibe! The dress was so grand and had such volume yet was very sexy so we kept her skin glowing and stained her lips the color of her dress with H&M Makeup so it wasn't overpowering but still honored the dress, its fabric and the theme!”
Her makeup look was created by Avendano for H&M Beauty. Here's exactly how he did it. Now you can do this radiant look at home.
“I prepped Ashley's eyes with Eye Fidelity Primer so her eye makeup would last all night and not crease. I applied Mattifying Face Primer to her T-Zone to create a perfect canvas and to keep her from becoming too shiny on the carpet!
I laid down two bronzer colors on her eyes to add a natural look and depth to them. I blended both Solar Flair Bronzing Powder in Sheer Tan (placed all over the eyelids) and Golden Honey (into the crease). Then, I highlighted the center and inner corners of her eyes with Infinite Impact Eye Colour in Chin Chin.
I then lined Ashley's eyes from the center and created a tiny wing to emphasize the shape. I drew the line with Drama Cream Eyeliner in Pitch Black and went over it with Soft Kajal Eye Pencil in Rich Cocoa to deepen the liner yet diffuse the darkness of the black.
I then used 2 coats of Control Chic Mascara in Deep Black on the upper lashes (none on the bottom,) and then applied Individual Lashes on the outer corners of her eyes to follow the shape we created with the liner. We wanted to focus on the upper part of the eyes and give her a seductive stare.
For her brows, I merely enhanced the shape by using the Superfine Browliner and softening them with Brow Perfector in Caramel.
I buffed in All-Day Liquid Foundation with a flat top brush and brightened her under eyes with Cover-Up Concealer to give her a refreshed and rested look
With a blending egg sponge, I combined Halo Illuminiser in Delicate Pearl and Champagne Gold and stippled and diffused it into her highlight points like the tops of her cheekbones, bridge of her nose, brow bones, and Cupid's bow.
Then I used Solar Flair Bronzing Powder in Sheer Tan to contour her cheekbones and add dimension to her face and give her a sunkissed radiance.
After that, I used the award winning Pure Radiance Powder Blusher in Vintage Red by gently sweeping it over the apples of her cheeks into her temples with a fan brush for the slightest bit of rosiness. Then, I used the same fan brush to place Impact Eye Colour in Chin Chin to give her a more pronounced highlight over the powder blush.
I finalized her skin by gently powdering the T-Zone with Velvet Matte Loose Powder.
Ashley's lips were going to be the focal point of the makeup look, and it was easily decided that we would stain her lips with colors that resembled the dress! I usedCream Colour Lipstick in Candy Apple and Marooned. I dabbed the lipsticks gently, one over the other, over and over (about 4 times each) and then blotted off the color with tissues until we got a very diffused red stain!”
