Recently I was doing some online shopping. I noticed something in the guys’ section. A new Trend jumped out at me. So here is my trend alert: luxe.
I was looking at Asos and Forever21 and saw many many items that have been embellished with Gold or intricate details. Fabrics used consisted of velvet and velour. Items with lions and tigers were prevalent. Shoes are being fabricated in velvet and suede. I think this comes from the Dolce and Gabbana collection a couple seasons ago. Their items were very luxurious looking. It seems the minimalistic trend that had been so popular is being phased out.
Personally, I love this new trend. I think the minimalist trend was a little bit boring. I love highly detailed articles of clothing and accessories. I look forward to seeing how it continues to develop and I hope it sticks around for a few seasons.
