The program aims at generating awareness about the heritage tourism of Khajuraho and bringing it on the global map of prominent tourism destination. It also aims at highlighting the importance of the heritage city and its sculptures which are more than about 1100 years old.
The dignitaries while addressing the press also highlighted the need of better infrastructure such as better rail and air connectivity which is currently a challenge while planing a vacation to the heritage city.
Mr Mukesh Gupta, Chairman, Tourism Committee, highlighted the significance of Public Private Partnership in creating better infrastructure for tourists in all destinations in India. It can play a vital role in the development of tourism industry since it has a plenty of opportunities for employment and foreign revenue, etc.
