Our coverage from the 2017 Geneva Motor Show continues today with a total stunner: the 2018 Porsche 911 GT3. Premiered at the renowned auto show just a few days ago, this incredible thing is faster, more powerful and better looking, and surprisingly brags about a six-speed manual transmission as well, which might get some old-school petrol-heads really interested in this sports car.
Hiding in the engine bay is a new naturally aspirated 4.0-liter flat-six, that’s good for about 500 ponies and 338 lb-ft of torque, enabling the 3,153 pounds car to do 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) in just 3.2 seconds and reach a maximum speed of 197 mph (317 km/h) – these numbers are valid with seven-speed dual-clutch PDK transmission, but you are welcomed to go for it with the manual option as well.
Yes, that’s the big news – a 911 GT3 packing a six-speed manual, able to achieve a top speed of 198 mph (318 km/h). There’s more to this car though, as the 2018 Porsche 911 GT3 also benefits from a tuned chassis for improved driving dynamics.
Speaking of which, Rear Axle Steering is also included in the package, and so is a new lightweight Carbon Fiber rear wing and a modified front fascia. Visual mods also include a fresh set of headlights and taillights.
On the inside, you will find the 918 Spyder steering wheel, modified sports seats with 18-way electric adjustment and full bucket seats with fixed carbon fiber backrests. Prepare to pay at least $143,600 if you want to enjoy this thing, starting this fall.
