A guide to washing make-up brushes

Washing my make-up Brushes is a right pain in the bum for me, I generally hate doing it. But the longer you leave it; just think about how much bacteria is upon the brush itself, which you are then going to wipe all over your face, and in the long run will cause more problems on your face.
Here, I'm going to give you my secret to cleaning your brushes, but making sure its quick and easy to do.

First of all you are going to need to gather all the brushes which need cleaning.

After, you need some baby shampoo, which you can buy near enough anywhere for super cheap. Squeeze some of the shampoo into your palm and then start swirling the brush into the shampoo, until the brush is clean. You will then give it a rinse under the water to get all the shampoo out.

Then, wipe clean onto a towel, to get the brush mostly dry. Lastly, I lean my brushes onto my radiator, to make sure they are dry.

Top tips
  • Always wash the brush with the bristles downwards, this will stop water going into the glue, which will help you brushes last longer.
  • Make sure you clean them at least once a week.
  • When drying the brushes, make sure the bristles are down, as water will sink into the glue and ruin the brush.
