India Runway Week Season 7

The seventh season of the India Runway Week Autumn/ Festive edition started on an extravagant noteIRW provides a platform for both established and upcoming talented designers to showcase their collections. These three days of fashion were full of creativity and innovative styles. The new designers delivered beyond expectations.
Here are few of my favorites from the IRW : -

Famous international designer Bibi Russell opened the show with her exquisite collection 'Rajasthali'.True to it's name, the designer showcased Rajasthani culture with modern detailing. The layered sleeves were my personal favorite.

If you are looking for something comfortable yet chic this season, then Daniel Syiem has designed some amazing colorful pieces for you! He knows one shouldn't compromise with their style in aid of comfort. Effortlessly chic is the new trend.

Model and actress Mugda Godse, walked the ramp for Satomi. The collection was full of vibrant colors and was named 'Myrah' which takes you back to the 17th century.

Studio AV, chose earthy colors for it's collection. The garments had extensive use of thread work, thereby calling the collection 'Dhaage'. A bit of detailing had been done with Zardozi and Dapka work. Use of Lord Krishna imagery added more color to the garments making them look more enchanting.

Inspired by Shakespeare's ballet 'A mid summer night's dream', Shreeya Somaiya takes you back to the fantasy world. The classic white was given modern touch with edgy silhouettes.

Shubhashini Ornamentals by Akassh K Aggarwal, made some jaws drop with his beautiful jewellery collection, ' The Muse Room'. Zeenat Aman graced the ramp with her dance - walk.

Chhandak Janapresented Padm'e, which was inspired by Lotus motifs used in Ajanta wall paintings. Beautiful accessories were used to add more charm to the garments.

Yoshita Yadav, used pure raw silk woven in India for her collection. Sure, her collection left the audience awestruck. Actress Esha Gupta was the showstopper of her collection which was inspired by Lucknow city.

Riddhi Siddhi, ended the season in pure grandeur. The collection named ' English Country Gardens ' used pastel palettes and was showcased along the Big Boy Toys cars.
