Visitors to the London Classic Car Show later this month will get an eyeful of one of the sexiest and most important British race cars ever built

And lately it’s been making up for lost time. After a comprehensive restoration “9VPD” returned to the track at the July 2005 Silverstone Classic Festival. In July 2006 it finished 4th at the Le Mans Classic (behind two Ford GT40s and a Cobra), then went on to win its class at the Spa 6-hours that same year. It was the first Jaguar across the line at the Legends race which preceded the 2007 Le Mans 24 hours and paid tribute to the 50th Anniversary of Jag’s famous 1957 victory, the car also made its Goodwood Revival debut that season. Since then its been a regular at Goodwood and Le Mans, and what’s better than that…?
