the posh concours d’elegance that’s starting to look like serious competition for Pebble Beach. The latest event which just wrapped up saw over 200 cars on display across the three-day schedule, spanning 76 different marques. A knockout 1956 Ferrari 500 Testa Rossa took Best of Show honors while in the category a Pagani Zonda 760RS captured the Pirelli Prestige & Performance Competition prize. Showcased on the Palace’s South Lawn where eye-poppers like the Lamborghini Centenario Coupé, the British-made Bristol Bullet and the Koenigsegg Agera RS ‘Naraya’. |
| The jury was led by dashing five-times Le Mans Winner Derek Bell MBE. Taking 2nd place overall in the Concours was a regal 1934 Rolls-Royce Phantom II Continental with Hooper & Co. coachwork, while the People’s Choice went to a drop-dead 1954 Maserati A6 GCS, originally shown at the 1954 Paris Auto Salon before going on to compete in the Mille Miglia the following year. A stand-alone Miura-only class celebrating the model’s 50th anniversary brought together eight examples as well a the one-off Miura Roadster designed by Bertone for for the 1968 Brussels Auto Show. And a Porsche 911 3.0RS took top marks in the Porsche Racing Pedigree Class, with over 200 races under its fan belt including the Tour de France, in 1975 and 1976 along with by a 4th place finished at Le Mans in 1975.
