An anxiety attack just hit me, and so hard… oh my lord. Okay, maybe I am exaggerating a little too much but this is my current situation. After Diwali, the festive break that really excites me is Christmas and New Year’s Eve. How I love pampering myself with those back to back parties and never-ending Shopping sessions with the girls, so we don’t end up wearing the same clothes at a party (which BTW has happened a couple of times)… hence we took an oath to never go shopping solo!
I believe there’s always some mad rush during the end week of the year, the earthlings are busy shopping for presents, meeting their friends and family, meeting for the LAST time in the year 2015 and what not! Hence, I thought I should share my ideas well in advance so you don’t have to sail through hour-long-traffic-scenes.
I am sharing two looks here, one which includes a party outfit and the other, slightly dressed down but still equally high on style meter.
I do understand that not everyone is out partying or clubbing, but might be spending time in a rather quiet setting to discuss life goals..well, I got your back! Before I begin sharing details of this outfit, let me tell you, it is meant for people who are going out, so if you have a plan of actually staying back, this outfit is not meant for you. You must rock a ‘onesie’ instead just like me(JK, I’d be out partying!).
So the highlight of this outfit is definitely the khakhi green sleeveless trench which is one of its own. Sleeveless jackets and trench coats are huge this season, and no one can deny their style factor. Keeping it the star of the outfit, I have built the rest of the elements very subtly so nothing steals away its appeal. A black fitted turtle neck top which will ensure you stay warm throughout the night and basic black stretchy leggings. To further complete the outfit, nude heels (pick between sandals or pumps, whatever you find more comfortable but if you’re opting for stockings instead of leggings, go for pumps), chunky gold necklace sitting around your neck, a gold watch in case you wish to roll up your sleeves, and a nude cross body bag which won’t come in the way of your celebration, even tad bit!
For Makeup, finish your base makeup (dewy and luminous) and add a champagne eye shadow on the lid. Keep the crease clean and defined with soft brown, oodles of mascara, and a very stunning plum lipstick. Don’t forget to add a dash of contour to the face to bring life and structure.
BASICS! Opt for basics and shine bright like a diamond. Here’s not one but four basic dresses that work extremely well! Just keep you shoe game strong and draw bold eyebrows to put up a fierce look. Since the dresses are bold and bright, I would highly suggest to trust the good ol’ smoky eyes and nude lips for makeup.
I hope I was able to help you guys with your party shopping, which one do you like the best?
Do share here, and drop in more suggestions, if you please.
Lots of luv,
