Kids can be difficult. This is something we learn pretty quickly after having them. Mom Renee Platt is being praised for admitting that her son can be a little sh*t. Often, it’s refreshing to see a mom admitting that her kid is difficult. Since parenting young kids is never without judgment, when a parent admits these harsh truths, we take notice.

“It’s Exhausting”

In a Facebook post, Renee Platt writes, “I am tired of being the Mother of the naughty kid, honestly it’s exhausting and I know right now some of you are nodding your head feeling me.”

I am most definitely feeling this. Being the mom of the kid who is all over the place is exhausting.

Platt’s post hits home for me because it appears that our sons were cut from the very same cloth. When I’m out with him, we get plenty of side eye from strangers for his boisterous behavior. First of all, it’s not like they’ve never seen an excited kid before. And they can also see that I’m doing my best to keep him calm, but that doesn’t always work.
