The internet can be so, so great. It puts endless information at your fingertips. It can connect friends and family all over the world. It’s good for a laugh or a cry at least once a day. Social media platforms in particular have made the internet a major part of our daily lives. Most of the time, we share something we found funny or sweet and don’t really give it a second thought.

But sometimes, the thing we share can be completely misconstrued by whomever sees it. And when that happens, the misdirected internet outrage can be swift and insane, like it was when a dad was accused of sexualizing his Infant Daughter.

Twitter user Harley (@htee_) posted a couple of very cute pictures of her VERY cute baby on the social medial platform. I am not kidding when I say this kid is CA-YOOT. You’d think to yourself, what about this sweet baby could possible incur the wrath of Twitter? Well, it wasn’t the picture itself. It was the baby’s dad’s hands and the mom’s joke that got Twitter’s undies in a massive bunch. Some of the replies to this tweet were … interesting.

Seriously people, this is exactly why we can’t have nice things!
